Categories of Membership and Requirements
Categories include being either a Member or a Fellowship Member.
Requirements for being a Member:
- A statement of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and evidence of a desire to live a consistent Christian life.
- An understanding of basic Christian doctrine and belief.
- A statement indicating agreement with the Statement of Faith and Covenant of Woodcrest Church.
- An agreement to abide by Woodcrest Church’s policies on member discipline.
- Profession of faith in Christ publicly through Believer’s baptism.
Requirements for being a Fellowship Member:
- A statement of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and evidence of a desire to live a consistent Christian life.
- An understanding of basic Christian doctrine and belief.
- A statement indicating consent to the Statement of Faith and Covenant of Woodcrest Church.
- An agreement to abide by Woodcrest Church’s policies on member discipline.
Membership Participation Distinctions:
- A Member may vote on all matters to be determined by the congregation and may serve in any
capacity in the ministry of Woodcrest Church.
- Woodcrest Fellowship Members are restricted from voting on constitutional changes, calling pastors,
and being officers of the church, but otherwise have all the rights and privileges granted to Members.
